Dartmoor Snowflake Mitts Pattern

On Tuesday I told you about a pattern I wrote up and forgot to publish. Publishing that pattern has reminded me about something else I’d completely forgotten. So today’s post is a near exact opposite story to Tuesday’s, because last Christmas I not only knitted Tilda for Lovely Littlest, Iย also knitted a pair of mitts for Lovely Eldest…Dartmoor Snowflake Fingerless Mitts - Bekki Hill The Dartmoor Yarn Company

I wrote up the pattern and published it in January. (Yes, I know that’s shockingly quick for me.) However, for some reason I never told you I’d knitted them or that there was a pattern for them. Here’s the link for the pattern if you’re interested.

Dartmoor Snowflake Fingerless Mitts - Back

Hope you like them.

Until next time,

  1. I love them! However, I think they are a bit beyond my knitting skills as I haven’t done much colour work at all – or none that I’d brag about .
It must have been a challenge to write that pattern up and I hope you sell lots of them to make it worth your while.

    1. Thank you. I’m sure with a bit of practice you could to anything. Just look at how your crochet is growing in leaps an bounds.
Actually, it wasn’t too bad – it’s mostly about the knitting chart and I love making knitting charts. I’ve sold a few so far and keep meaning to print some off for our LYS and for my stall.

    1. Thank you. I like both sorts, these are good for wearing in town, so I don’t have to keep pulling them on and off in shops and when it’s really cold in the house. I also sometimes wear a more boring fingerless pair under a pair with fingers when it’s really cold!

    1. ๐Ÿ™‚ indeed. The joys of living “in the south” I guess. But we still enjoy the wintery goodies during winter. These are on my list for sure, since I love fingerless too, it does not get freezing or snowy here in Johannesburg, but you can always still look pretty.

  2. Beads and Barnacles

These look lovely. ๐Ÿ˜ I can’t say I like fingerless gloves that much but then again I don’t really like wearing gloves so when I need to wear them it tends to be super cold…

    1. Thank you. I’m kind of the opposite, i love fingerless and will wear them even wjen it’s not that cold, but not keen on full ones. Maybe i just like the way fingerless make my huge hands look smaller ๐Ÿ™‚
