In the craft room

Thought I’d have a wee roundup of the small, crafty jobs I’be been working on over the last couple of weeks.

Not very taxing, but definitely well over due,  I meant to paint our old tired old nest of tables 5 years ago when we moved here…

They’ve definitely seen better days

Here they are painted and waxed..

I’ve also made some dryer balls – I have a few orders for them, but have made some extras too if anyone else wants some .

Drying beside the aga

I’m not knitting as much as I used to as my thumb’s still not great, but I have knitted two sleeves for my sweater…

As I say, nothing amazing, but satisfying to be getting jobs crossed off the list and the sweater nearly finish.

Until next time,

  1. Do you feel virtuous? I do when I manage to cross off a job that’s been on the ‘to do’ list for ages. 😇
I like the look of those sleeves, you’ve inspired me to stop fannying around and get on with my cabled cardigan.

  2. Nice! I like the way you stayed with one colour in the jobs you are completing/working on. The tables look really nice. And I got some dryer balls in my Christmas stocking. They work well. I was thinking about cabling yesterday, but it would have involved going out to look for a pattern …… So I stayed with what I’ve got 🙂

  3. Hi Bekki, Thanks for the post, especially since I also woke up this morning with sore thumbs (from trying to finish my first knitting project in at least five years). Sadly, I didn’t have any tables to paint, so ended up doing housework!
Congrats on the sleeves, looking good.

    1. Thank you. You put dryer balls in your tumble dryer and they stop your washing clumping together so much, which makes it dry more efficiently so saves money and the environment. Wool ones are quiet to use and completely eco-friendly so much better than the plastic ones you can buy in shops.
