Sunday Sevens 2019 #3

Welcome to my Sunday Sevens : A post were I share seven (or so) photos of my week away from the blog. Sunday Sevens was invented by Nathalie at Thread and Bobbins.

Spring really seems to have arrived this week, with primroses and snowdrops bursting into bloom.

The weather turned so warm and sunny on Wednesday I put my washing out for the first time this year…

Away from the garden, I attempted to get on with my quilt, but found I had just a little too much help…

Most of this week I was distracted by a visit from Lovely Littlest, who met her new little brother for the first time…

Sorry about the quality, neither of them would stay still.

With such lovely weather and Lovely Littlest here, we just had to go for a visit to the beach…

And you can’t visit the beach without having fish and chips…

Yes, I know, that’s twice in two weeks! I would also draw your attention to the green mass of mushy peas on my plate – I absolutely hate mushy peas! Why oh why does anyone like mushy peas? – I assume someone does.

Other notable events this week were a trip to the hairdressers to have my highlights refreshed…

And receiving a lovely bunch of flowers from a friend…

And just in case you haven’t had enough pictures of Harry, here’s one of his rather odd choices of where to sleep…

Hope you’ve had a great week. Until next time,

Bekki x

  1. Looks like you have had a lovely week. I will have to write a Sunday Sevens again soon. I don’t mind mushy peas, but I don’t mind not having them either. Lucky boy Harry going to the beach again. Marvelous pictures! X

Looks like a great week. Harry looks like he is quite the helper. If Harry is so smitten with the project you can take that as a sign that it’s a good project and wants to be finished.

  3. You can’t have fish and chips without mushy peas, what you thinking about?
    Nice hair you look great.
My last dog favoured the curtain look, usually when he found the room too hot he would retreat to the windows.

If it weren’t for Siddy Harry would be my favourite bloggy doggy.

    1. Hello. I somehow knew you’d be a mushy peas gal.
      Thank you.
I think Hicks and now Harry just like to make anything I’ve made filthy – as if the work that went into creating them wasn’t enough and I should be giving them a wash too.
Well that is a compliment and I’m sure it will get Harry working even harder to make it into Siddy’s league.

  4. I love the close up of Harry with the sea in the background.
I will be having fish and chips when I arrive in the U.K. on Wednesday evening from ‘Chez Fred’ as I believe the establishment is called. I can’t be doing with mushy peas – isn’t it a Northern thing? Although, they do offer them on Brighton pier so I suppose they have travelled Southward since my youf.

    1. We ordered the high tide especially for those pics.
I would agree with you about mushy peas being a Northern thing, but worry about being Northernist. We’re certainly very south now, so they must have travelled. I grew up in Surrey, were we certainly didn’t truck with such things.

Great job at the quilt, it is looking good.
So glad for the warmer weather, it looks just perfect, glad you all got to the beach for some fun too.
Enjoy the rest of the week. πŸ™‚

  6. Harry certainly is one handsome boy – how is he with puddles? I’ve been offline since we moved out so haven’t caught up with blog posts yet to see if he loves a puddle as much as Hicks did. For the record, I love mushy peas😬

    1. Yes, I spotted you moved out. How’s the search going? I do hope you’ll be back to blogging once you’re settled again. I’m hopeless with keeping up with instagram.
Harry barely does puddles at all – so guess Hicks isn’t whispering in his ear on that one – mind let’s see what happens when it gets warmer before I count my chickens.
