I very much like the idea of Me-Made-May, but haven’t joined in before as I tend to give most of what I knit away. Also since it’s May I’m (hopefully) not going to be wearing hats, gloves, or thick sweaters. However this year I had a good hard think, since Me-Made-May is about addressing our relationship with our wardrobe and the clothes we make, and I think that’s a jolly good idea.
So I’ve joined with a easy wearing pledge, but I promise a lot of hard thinking will go on. Here’s my pledge:
‘I, Bekki Hill (Blogging at http://www.dartmooryarns.com @dartmooryarns on Instagram, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’16. I endeavour to wear at least one item of me made clothing that I rarely or never wear each week for the duration of May 2016. As I wear it, I will reflect on my relationship with each garment and why I don’t wear it (more often).
